This was Gateway’s first Experiential Marketing Summit and we had a blast! San Francisco had a lot to offered and we were sad to say goodbye. But as we all know- all good things must come to an end. EMS was filled with a lot of great networking opportunities, experiential ideas and upcoming marketing trends. So just in case you didn’t make it to EMS, here’s what went down.

Attendees stopped by our booth to learn about The Trade Show & Event ROI Experience. They shared with us their struggles and challenges on measuring their return on investment. We got the opportunity to share our free forecast tool (which they loved!)  This tool was designed to help our visitors understand where and how their money is being spend. We know there is a need to measure ROI in the trade show industry.

EMS offered great workshop session filled with featured speakers an great marketing information on future marketing trends. We explored the Exclusive Research on the Value of Experiential workshop. This showcased how to use experiential to drive consideration, sales and ensure it is one of the most valuable tools in any marketer’s tool.  Another great session was B-to-B Dream Team discussion of top trends, best practices, and future of the event discipline.

The biggest takeaway at the sessions was on measurement. Brands biggest priorities in relation experiential is the opportunity to improve measurement. Forty-seven percent of brands are currently measuring their result on post campaigns. Measurement is important and should be the #1 priority for trade show and event marketers.

Although the EMS is over, we walked away inspired and excited about measurement and how it remains an important key to a successful event. Be sure to check out our free forecast tool and begin to measure real results that will help determine shows you may want to consider attending in the future.
